Volunteers watching at the double gates have clocked:
- jays, chaffinch, reed buntings and robin at or around the table
- pheasants poking around the cage and eating the seed on the ground
- dunnock in the hedge
- crows and pigeons
- long-tailed tits moving around nearby
Also reported: fieldfare and redwing leaving their overnight roost in Pony Wood, and at the far end of the reserve, a water rail heard in Lucy Brook near the Cromwell Rd entrance.
