Lots of bird activity around the ash tree at the Fauna / Orchard crossroads this afternoon including blue tits exploring the tit box on the ash. Goldfinch also there.

Last weekend we were admiring the new bird boxes on the willow trees along Lucy Brook ( from the new path) when we noticed a female sparrow hawk on the big cedar tree at the bottom of one of the Aldcliffe Rd gardens – a very good perch for surveying FAUNA.
