More March hares

An email from Graham yesterday reports that he saw 2 brown hares in the corner of the Hay and Big Meadows.  They were moving in different directions and he thought they might box but, although their paths crossed briefly, they carried on in their separate ways.  He also notes that there is a blue tit building in one of the nest boxes on the big ash tree at the junction. Although the flush counting season is over, Graham continues to walk the nature reserve on a monthly basis checking for anything requiring maintenance and monitoring the state of the habitat.
