Recent wildlife

A heron flying over Flora yesterday and a song thrush in Fauna a few days ago.

There is Dusky Crane’s-bill in the Orchard near the Towneley entrance.

Can anyone identify this plant – it’s near the junction of the Pads and Willow lane footpaths. I thought it might be Houndstooth but I am not very sure

  1. Two hare sightings (Wednesday evening and Thursday morning) both of a hare in the Grammar School Field, so probably the same beastie.

Lots of yellow rattle coming up in the Hay Meadow and Carr House Meadow plus some nice clumps of red clover and a big patch of water cress at the soggy edge of the Hay Meadow.
