  1. Big Butterfly Count – 15 July to 7 August

    Great to see the recent posts for butterflies. I’ve also recently seen a number of Gatekeeper (yes Ian, that is a photo of a Gatekeeper), Small Skipper, Meadow Brown, Green-veined White, Small White and Comma.

    This is the start of Butterfly Conservation’s Big Butterfly Count. So if you do see any butterflies you can log them directly onto their data base by going to http://www.bigbutterflycount.org/. There is also a smart phone app where you can submit your sightings on the move out ‘in the field’.
