Thanks to all for submitting sightings over the last few days – it’s great to hear about the numbers of snipe and other wildlife on the reserve, as well as seeing the photo of the linnets (I hadn’t realised how different the males and females are).

Heard a pheasant near the log circle in the Orchard yesterday morning, and a woodpecker.
Hi – the pic shows a female house sparrow. Nice shot!
Incidentally, I had a peregrine over FAUNA at 8.45 on Thursday morning as I made my way to work.

Interesting about the peregrine, I saw one perched in the trees along the canal near Haverbreaks the other day. The crows were not happy. Not close enough to Flora to claim a spot in the nature reserve though.
